Hail Mary

ScottCommFoundationlogo

The “Hail Mary” is a pass that is used as a last chance to win a football game. The football team that must use a ‘Hail Mary Pass” at the end of the game in many ways is almost powerless. They most likely have about run out of time on the game clock or have no timeouts left or are in a fourth down situation. They are desperate.

Prayer in our own lives has turned into a ‘Hail Mary Pass” to God the father due to our lack of time, because we are too busy to pray in any other way. Most of us only pray when we are desperate.

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

There are some very good points to ponder in the above scripture. “If my people will humble themselves, pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways…………….then will I hear from heaven.”

So to get God the Father to hear your prayers, you now know what to do.

The number ones in each classification have not changed and some of the number ones have solidified their position by being unanimously selected by all the Kansas Media Ranking team. There has been some movement in each of the classifications due to the games played this past week and before the season is over there will be plenty of movement, at least in my mind.

We would like to welcome one new member to the ranking team this week. Bob Davidson of the Salina Journal in Salina, Kansas. Here is a link to Bob’s individual rankings this week in the Journal. Welcome aboard Bob.

Rankings September 13, 2016

WheatlandBroadband&Electric1

As most of you know, I enjoy seeing which team comes from the unknown category, in preseason, and jumps into the rankings with both feet and smashes opponents.

I have my eye on several of those kinds of teams. The team that shows no fear in the face of the past history of particular teams that have done well in high school football in Kansas.

Just a quick rundown of a few teams I am watching: Plainville, Great Bend, Atchison, Augusta, Nickerson, Hoisington, Dighton and Hugoton.

If I am watching these teams, you can be assured that the rest of the state is also paying attention. Best wishes to all of you and your teammates.

Rankings September 7, 2016

WheatlandBroadband&Electric1

The first of the season rankings are finally out. The Kansas Media Team is listed at the bottom of this article and I can’t thank these guys enough. If you as a newspaper or radio station or television station or website would like to use our rankings please feel free to do so. The only thing we ask is that you credit www.kansasprepfootball.com.

The rankings are the best thing we do at www.kansasprepfootball.com. We take all the team members thoughts and put them in to one ranking. We get rid of our regional bias by mixing together our thoughts. Everyone on the ranking team likes to put in the teams they follow because those are the teams they see week in and week out.

Remember, that to be listed in the others category you must be listed by at least two of the ranking team members. That goes for the Super 10 and the top five of each classification. Remember also that the Super 10 and the top five of each classification are two totally separate polls.

We wish each team the best for the season and you and I both know there is some team out there right now, that is not in the rankings today, that by seasons end will be in these rankings because they will be the surprise team of the season. The only question is who is it going to be???
