Ottawa University QB damages spine in weight room accident 7-24
Matthew was doing step ups with 295 pounds using a standard barbell on his shoulders behind his neck. He had completed his final set, brought the first foot down fine, and stepped back with the second foot to rack the bar when he suddenly found himself sitting Indian style on the floor with the 295 pounds still on his shoulders. The momentum of the weight drove his face to his knees, and he describes it as, "I was kissing my knees." His adrenaline enabled him to throw the weight off to the back. He is not sure what happened as he stepped back, but he has done that very exercise in the exact same fashion thousands of times, and he wants people to know he was injured doing something he loves.

Here is my proposal:    Top two teams in district qualify for the 4A Division I football playoffs. The bottom two teams in district qualify for 4A Division II football playoffs. Everyone makes the playoffs. KSHSAA makes more money. The districts that have 3 really good teams well they all qualify for the playoffs. The real football powerhouse schools will end up in the 4A D-I playoffs. The schools that hardly ever make the playoffs now have a chance to win a playoff game.

Masculinity is not athletic ability, sexual conquest and economic success. Masculinity first and foremost ought to be defined in terms of relationships. If you look over your life at the end of it............life wouldn't be measured in terms of success based on what you have acquired or achieved or what you own. The only thing that is going to matter is the relationships that you had. What kind of father were you? What kind of a husband were you? What kind of teammate were you? What kind of son or brother or friend were you? What kind of coach were you? Joe Ehrmann in the book 'Season of Life'. Coach Ehrmann on Youtube.
